BLYTHE - Blythe Police booked Brandon Jackson, 27, of Blythe into Blythe Jail on burglary, violation of restraining order, kidnapping, and resisting arrest Monday afternoon.
Blythe dispatch got a call just before 11:30 a.m. from a witness that said Jackson forced his estranged girlfriend to leave with him from her home in the 200 block of Oasis.
According to the caller, Jackson drove off in a gold colored vehicle with the woman, who also has a restraining order against Jackson.
Dispatchers called the victim on her cell phone and although she has not able to talk freely, dispatch told her police knew of the situation and were trying to find her.
Eventually, the victim was able to escape to the police department. From there, the victim gave officers a description of Jackson and told officers that he was somewhere in the Chanslorway and Eucalyptus area.
Officers found Jackson in the 200 block of North Main St., but he ran away. Witnesses told officers Jackson ran through a business on North Spring St. and turned south on Spring St.
Another caller told officers that Jackson could be found inside another business in the 100 block of North Spring St. When officers found Jackson in the business and attempted to arrest the suspect, he resisted. Officers tased Jackson and then arrested him.
Officers booked Jackson into Blythe Jail on charges of burglary, violating a restraining order, kidnapping, and resisting arrest.
