BLYTHE, Calif. - Blythe Narcotic Enforcement Team (BNET) arrested a boyfriend and girlfriend for having drugs for sale April 30.
BNET members checked in on Markeith Lane, 29, of Blythe last Wednesday. Lane is currently on probation. BNET members took him to his residence where his girlfriend Andrea Hubbard, 26, of Blythe lives, to search his house, according to Lane's probation search terms. The search netted approximately three pounds of suspected methamphetamine and approximately four pounds of suspected marijuana, all packaged for sales. Items indicative of drug sales and a loaded handgun were also found inside the residence.
Lane and Hubbard were booked into the Blythe Jail for conspiracy, possession of methamphetamine for sales, possession of marijuana for sales and maintaining a place to sell controlled substances.
BNET is a multi-agency narcotic task force participated in by law enforcement agencies in the Blythe-Palo Verde Valley area. BNET's primary mission is to disrupt narcotic sales and diminish the availability of those drugs, thereby increasing public safety.
