Santa in town for parade
Hundreds views a red, white and blue Christmas

Santa Claus took part in the annual Christmas parade held last Saturday. Below is the Theme Trophy winner, PVC Don Kuykendall Child Development Center, demonstrating "A Red, White, and Blue Christmas." To see video of the entire parade, go to pvvt.com.
BLYTHE - Saturday night in Blythe saw the closure of Hobsonway for the Blythe Area Chamber of Commerce and city of Blythe's annual Christmas parade, with over 65 entries, each incorporating a "Red, White and Blue" Christmas theme.
The parade, organized by outgoing Mayor Robert Crain, his family and friends, began at 5 p.m. with first-year parade emcee Pat Perkins, also known as the voice at Palo Verde High School football games.
The hour-long parade was full of floats, marching bands, car clubs, service clubs, businesses and other organizations wanting to demonstrate the Christmas spirit in one form or fashion.
This year's winners are as follows:
Trophy recipients - Sweepstakes (most outstanding), St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church; Theme (best use of theme), Palo Verde College Don Kuykendall Child Development Center; Marshal's (best originality of design), Palo Verde College ASB; and Mayor's (overall appeal), CB Plumbing.
