Teresa Reyes, 88, passed away on Oct. 20, 2012 at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
She was born on Oct. 16, 1924 in Miami, Ariz., to Antonio and Manuela Medina.
She married Rafael Reyes in September of 1945. Teresa and her family came to Blythe in 1970 and she began working for La Victoria where she was a commercial cook in the tortilla factory, which she did for 13 years.
She then worked part time at the La Victoria store in Blythe owned by Eddie and Bertie Rodriguez. Teresa has been a longtime member of the St. Joan of Arc Church in Blythe.
She is survived by her husband, Rafael Reyes; daughter-in-law Rachael Reyes; six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and her sister, Guadalupe Medina.
She was preceded in death by her children, Antonio Reyes and Maria DeJesus Reyes.
Visitation will be held at Frye Chapel on Oct. 28, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Mass will be on Oct. 29, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with interment following at Palo Verde Cemetery in Blythe.
