BLYTHE - The Palo Verde High School Yellow Jacket swim team resumed Imperial Valley League competition this past week with a pair of dual-dual meets. The locals were in Holtville for a match with the Vikings and Calipatria and also traveled to El Centro to take on the Eagles of Southwest and the ever present Vikings as Holtville and the Jackets are on the IVL schedule together.
The Jackets continue to dominate the smaller Vikings and Hornets but Southwest, like Brawley and Central, dominate the meets with depth and talent.
At Holtville, the Jacket boys claimed an 87-12 victory over the Vikings and rolled to a 94-6 decision of Calipatria. Against the Hornets, Palo Verde won all 10 of the contested events while Holtville managed two firsts to the Jackets' eight in their 10 event card.
